Hi!

We will be announcing a riding workout of the day for horse and rider. Hopefully real often.

For today, we will go easy.

Start up after saddling your horse, with walking deep lunges for 40-80 strides beside your horse. Keep two things in mind: stabilize your pelvis and your spine, no flopping. Second, make sure your front knee stays behind your toe all the time.

Get up. Work on transitions. Make sure you stabilize your midsection. Do at least 75 transitions: start with walk- trot, walk. Put in canter if you got it. Then do halt- walk. Make sure you do your best to make the horse start with the hindleg in the transition to walk. I you manage: enjoy your new, softer and springier trot! :-)
