If your knee bothers you after a workout, is it ebola? Should
you run to a surgeon to fillet you open and remove the
evil gnome under your patella, or should you learn how to
manage your own business? I’ll take the latter, and K-Starr
is showing the way.

The only rules that really matter are these: what a man can do and what a man can't do. For instance, you can accept that your father was a pirate and a good man or you can't. But pirate is in your blood, boy, so you'll have to square with that some day. And me, for example, I can let you drown, but I can't bring this ship into Tortuga all by me onesies, savvy? So, can you sail under the command of a pirate, or can you not?

Den beste gave Gud har gitt meg, er at jeg trives når jeg er alene. Jeg synes synd på mennesker som alltid må ha noe rundt seg for å ha det godt.

Hey Supplenesses,

I was recently watching some “runners” on the path outside my gym. I use the word “run” loosely as running is brutally technical and difficult to perform well. (If I round my back when I pull and press out the lock out is it a snatch?) Anyways, I couldn’t take my eyes off the poor neck of the woman out getting a little cardio. Every time she landed (bobbed actually) her neck underwent some of the most heinous loading I’ve ever seen. In five years, this woman is going to be absolutely shocked that she’s managed to destroy one of the discs in her neck. Woman to MD: ”All I did was sneeze!” MD: Are you sure you didn’t repeatedly overload your cervical structures times 1 billion reps with your crappy running form before you finally were able to make that disc tap out and submit?”

Look, it’s hard to destroy one of your body’s tissues. It takes HUGE amounts of force applied in crazy horrible positions x 1 million reps. The official equation for this is: (F! * Crap) * 10 to Nth. Dewd, you are designed to be ridden hard and put away wet. When I hear words like congenital stenosis, I think, “oh, it’s possible that you were born with small spinal openings even though you are one of the best athletes in the world, or you’ve exceeded your allotment of 1 billion neck over-extensions.”

Forget running, that’s only like six times bodyweight on one leg x 1 billion reps (700 steps in 400 meters I think?), let’s talk about you and say walking around. It’s possible for an active person to take ten thousand steps a day. How many days have you cruised around with your back in a crappy over-extended position?

Listen to Jstar, “Make a better decision.” You are going to live to be 100 years old you know.

"Just because some jackass asserts a thing does not mean that it is worthy of refutation. If the same guy tells you that every space shuttle launch perturbs the Earth's orbit, and that the cumulative effects are just about to start the process of the loss of the atmosphere into space, thus creating a vacuum that will destroy all life on the planet in approximately 36 hours, would you deem this necessary to refute? How much time would you spend explaining to him why this cannot happen? Would not your time be spent better doing other things? And if you devise a concise explanation, why would you assume he would understand?"

There is simply no other exercise, and certainly no machine, that produces the level of central nervous system activity, improved balance and coordination, skeletal loading and bone density enhancement, muscular stimulation and growth, connective tissue stress and strength, psychological demand and toughness, and overall systemic conditioning than the correctly performed full squat.
